Seamen's Bethel across from the N.B.Whaling
Museum. Often refered to as the Mariners
Chapel. Seamen's Bethel's interior walls are
covered with frames with the names of those lost
at sea and the ship they were aboard.
Most from the whaling days, as you
read the names ages and dates you
will find many of these whalers died
at a very young age (16 - 21 yrs.).
Also noted are those lost at sea in
modern times as well.
