For some of the best in Cape Cod Sightseeing, tours,
cruises, and things to do come along with us as we
take you there.
Some points of interest as you explore Cape Cod are
Plymouth Rock(legendary landing spot of the pilgrims).
Visit the Mayflower II as you explore the pilgrims voyage
to the new world in 1620. With over crowded conditions, little
fresh water, and dried bread they made their 66 day voyage.
No visit to Plymouth would be complete without a tour
of Plimouth Plantation, as costumed role players offer
a look at Pilgrim and Wampanoag Indian lifestyles.
Woods Hole in Falmouth is home to the Oceanographic
Research Institution.
Also located in Woods Hole is the ferry service to Martha's Vineyard (passenger and auto ).
These "Dune Shacks" as they are called are used for solitude
for writers, poets, those that just need to get away. As told
to us by our guide Frank from Art's Dune Tours, some belong
to a special society and a few are still privately owned.
We were also told by our guide that Tennessee Williams
wrote "A Street Car Called Desire" while staying in one of
these dune shacks.
Come with us on a virtural dune tour, just click the video below.
For a sightseeing adventure take a 2 hour narrated ride on the
Cape Cod Central Railroad, from Hyannis to Sandwich and back.
There is also a Sunday Brunch, Family Supper, and Luncheon
ride available as well as a rail and sail combination with a
tour of Hyannis Harbor and the Kennedy Compound. Sit back
relax and enjoy the ride. Be sure to take a peek at the video below of the Cape Cod Central Railroad in action.
Cape Cod is also home to the almost world famous Cape Cod
Potato Chips factory. They offer factory tours and free
samples, but no photos on the tour. There is also a small
gift shop here.
Visit Cape Cod Beer while in Hyannis and try a few different
samples. While there check out their gift shop and the new
capecodopoly, Cape Cod's version of monopoly. Note that a
percentage of the sale proceeds of capecodopoly goes to the
Cape Cod United Way.

Doing a little Cape Cod Sightseeing myself on Main St.
Hyannis with my son Elias.
A visit to Hyannis just would not be complete
without seeing the J.F.K. museum, the museum host
a video series hosted by Walter Cronkite tells the
story of J.F.K. and his life on Cape Cod.
Now located downstairs from the JFK Museum is the Cape Cod
Baseball League Hall of Fame. See some of the memorabilia of
the stars before they were discovered and hit the big league.
For example Mike Lowell of the Boston Red Sox back when he
played for the Chatham A's.
Another popular sightseeing adventure is whale watching,
available from several different ports including Provincetown,
Hyannis, and Plymouth. Most whale watches will guarantee a
sighting or you get to go again for free (check on this
prior to booking ).
With so many activities and so many sightseeing adventures
one would have to come vacation on Cape Cod for many years
to try to see and do it all.
The Pilgrim Monument in Provincetown standing tall.
Provincetown is host to Pilgrims Monument, honoring
the pilgrims landing here in 1620. This 252' tower offers
breathtaking views of Cape Cod. The museum also offers history on the pilgrims voyage and is well worth a visit.
Provincetown is also home to the Whydah Pirate Museum.
See what Barry Clifford recovered from the Pirate Ship
Whydah. Yes from a real honest to goodness pirate ship.
Barry's adventure has been televised on the Discovery
Channel.
The busy streets of Provincetown filled with tourists.
Sightseeing (or people watching as its called) at its best.
From shopping to great food and some of the best sightseeing adventures on Cape Cod, it's all here waiting for you.
One of many Provincetown art galleries.
The Cape Cod National Seashore.
The Cape Cod National Seashore extends approx. 40 miles
from Eastham to Provincetown, with bike and walking trails
you can view marshlands, cranberry bogs, ponds, and beaches,
kettle ponds, and the wildlife within this protected area.
