Cape Cod Off Season
Sure Cape Cod Off Season slows down as the peak tourist season comes to an end, but they don't exactly roll away the sidewalks and put them away until spring.
Life goes on just the same, as there are still great
places to eat. Seafood taste just as good in winter as
in summer. Yes some businesses close for the winter
months, while others stay open year round.
Even the local folks still have to shop, dine out,
enjoy some entertainment, and nite-life occasionally.
For those who like stay at a bed and breakfast, inn, or
resort area, many have a nice fireplaced room where one can
curl up with a favorite book and hot chocolate.
Did I forget to mention the great off season rates
available after peak season? Most offer much better
room rates as winter comes closer. You can still enjoy
a great romantic weekend at a resort, complete with
spa treatments, whirlpool, saunas, and heated indoor
pools, in room jacuzzi, as well as fine dining.
There is still plenty of great shopping to do from
specialty shops to the Cape Cod Mall to the Christmas
Tree Shop.
Remember there are indoor activities as well as out,
such as museums and art galleries.
Keep in mind that being off season, rates are much
better, the traffic flows, the long lines and crowds
are all gone, you dont't need reservations for everything.
Even a walk on the beach with nobody around can be a
peaceful experience.
Not to forget some Cape Cod golf courses are open
year round, weather permitting of course.
I guess I'm just trying to tell you that Cape Cod Off
Season is still here waiting for your weekend trip or romantic
getaway. Even if the fields of the Cape Cod Baseball League are coated with snow and its a balmy 32 degrees outside.
For those that enjoy winter photography I can think of
no better place once the snow flies and the cape landscape
turns white while icicles hang from the fishing boats
glistening in the winter sun.
I hope you get to take in a little bit of Cape Cod Off Season.
This piece of paradise is still well worth a visit even if it's not filled with all the hustle and bustle of the summer months.
A romantic weekend in mid winter may be just the thing to help get you through till spring comes and Cape Cod starts
to hop all over again.
ENJOY !!
