Cape Cod Campgrounds

With camping as popular as ever on Cape Cod we will take you through some of your choices then you decide which Cape Cod campgrounds are best for you.

Some campgrounds offer just your basic amenities while others offer a whole array of activities and entertainment. Also the huge RV's are not allowed in everywhere, while others seem to cater to them. Still some only allow tents and tag-alongs.

I think my favorite time to go camping on Cape Cod would be in the fall during peak foliage season. Cool autumn mornings and evenings, and beautiful colors along the Cape Cod Canal and throughout the cape.

The heavy traffic has diminished, the large crowds are gone, doing a little fishing sounds inviting, as well as a bike ride. Don't rule out these shoulder seasons (early May thru mid June and Labor Day thru November) on Cape Cod as the cape is still alive, just slowed down a bit.

For those who prefer less hustle and bustle try some of these camping areas just off Cape Cod in Plymouth, but close enough to visit the cape if you so choose.
